Step 1: Open charm bar by moving cursor to the right bottom of the screen. Go to setting icon as shown below.

Step 2:  Now select Change PC settings to proceed further.
 

Step 3: PC setting will list various options as shown below. Select General from the left panel and Remove everything and reinstall Windows from right.


Step 4: After clicking on Get Started, a new screen will open which shows what will happen after Reset:
All your personal files and apps will be removed.
Your PC settings will be changed back to their defaults. Click next to proceed.



Steps to Refresh Windows 8

 

The other option that Windows 8 provides to change PC settings back to their defaults is Refresh option. Select Refresh your PC without affecting your files option on the right panel of PC settings.


The next screen will list the after-effect of Refresh option which includes:
  • Your files and personalization settings won’t change.
  • Your PC settings will be changed back to their defaults.
  • Apps from Windows Store will be kept.
  • Apps you installed from discs or websites will be removed.
  • A list of removed apps will be saved on your desktop.
